OUR MANDATE

Strengthening the Accountancy Profession in Somalia

SICPA is the national professional and regulatory body mandated to develop, regulate, and promote the accountancy profession in Somalia in the public interest. Our role is to ensure that accountants across public and private sectors adhere to high standards of professional competence, ethics, and practice, in line with internationally recognized frameworks.

SICPA supports the adoption of global accounting and auditing standards, delivers professional education and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), licenses and monitors practitioners, and represents the profession at national and international levels. Through these responsibilities, SICPA contributes directly to financial accountability, transparency, and good governance within Somalia’s economic and institutional systems.
